Second: Editing
Committee Meetings:
The
Editing Committee began duties with the commenvement of the
Academic Year 1425-26 H. King Saud University Editing
committee (College of Sciences) convened a number of
meetingsduring the Academic Year 1425-26 H. to discuss the
research papers presented for publication in the Journal and
to assign responsibilities to members of the Committee. The
Committee also discussed other academic-related issues and
major problems so that solutions may be made. The Committee
also made a study to promote the level and perrformance of
the Journal in form and content to present the study to the
College of Sciences Council and subsequenly to the Academic
council which forms a Committee that studies the Journal's
development plans academically and technically. The
Committee is still current.
Third: Achievements:
The
Journal follows the system of numbering papers serially in a
way that helps in storing and finding them at any time. The
system also helps in refereeing papers in total
confidentiality without mentioning the researcher's name
when the paper is given to the referees. Various forms
have also been rephrased in ways that would cover all the
required areas of refereeing the paper in a modern academic
way. Papers have been refereed by Saudi referees from Saudi
universities and by other referees from Arab and
international universities.
Fourth: Journal issues during 1426-1427 H:
The
first and second issues of Volume Eight of KSU Journal
(College of Sciences) came out during the Academic Year
1426-1427. Trial of the latest Issue of Issue One of Volume
Nineteen has recently been received and duly sent to the
academic Publication Section. The issue will come out in
due course.

Conclusion:
In
order to achieve its basic objective of serving scientific
research, the editing committee demands that the Journal be
given the support that would enable it to send papers
quickly and to reply promptly and to correspond with
researchers and referees swiftly. The journal seeks to be
internationally accredited through participating in
international indexes.
