The Transfer Program
The Transfer Program at the Community College is a non-degree program. However, the program qualifies the student to pursue study at a corresponding specialization at the university to obtain a BA degree upon successful completion of the program according to the criteria suggested by the Community College in coordination with the colleges concerned.
The Transfer program offers specialties suggested by the College Council and approved by the University Council. Community College students are regularly monitored and their academic progress assessed throughout all stages of study. If the student fails to meet the requirements’ standards for admission at the university, the College will reorient the student to the Career Program in accordance with the regulations set by the College Council and approved by the University Council.
Goals
· Providing a maximum number of students with educational opportunities in fields needed by the labor market.
· Providing advanced level classes at selected departments at the university with a sufficient number of students so as to ensure optimal operational efficiency.
· Minimizing the drop out rates in the Kingdom as the College accepts students whose grades do not qualify them for direct registration at the university.
Study Plan
The Transfer program is a two-year program. The student is entitled to register in any of the courses he deems relevant to his academic accomplishments after receiving the appropriate academic counseling at the College. It should be noted that the study plans for the Transfer Program at the Community College are the same as those accredited for the first four levels in King Saud University academic departments.
