History of the College
The Community College in AlMajma’ah, was founded in 1422 and began receiving students at the beginning of the first semester of the academic year 1425-1426 H. It is affiliated with King Saud University in Riyadh, and strives to follow its lead in providing quality education.
The College’s objective is to support the national plans for training and employing Saudis particularly for specializations in demand by the labor market. This community college gives students who are unable to pursue their high educational studies for academic reasons, the opportunity to attain a degree that will academically qualify them for the College Career Program. It also supports King Saud’s University's ability to accept large number of students in transfer and career programs, by offering efficient, university-level programs to students who wish to transfer.
Some advantages of studying at the College include flexibility in changing from the transfer programs to the career programs and vice versa, or changing majors within either of the two programs, and that upon successful completion of the transfer program, students are able to pursue a Bachelors degree at the University. And, like King Saud University, the tuition at AlMajma’ah Community College is free.
