College Participation in Serving the Surrounding Community
During its short time, which doesn't exceed two years, the college has contributed positively to the advancement and development of the community as well as to raising public awareness.
The college held a number of educational and training courses for its staff and some employees from the governmental departments in Al-Aflaj region as follows:
1/3- The Computer Sciences and Information Technology Department carried out some training courses during 1424-1425AH.

2/3- The English Department conducted a three-week course that started on 2/2/1426 AH for the college working staff to upgrade their English skills.
2/3- The College Library, established in 1425AH, has more than 10500 titles of books, scientific works and recent studies in both Arabic and English. Because the library is very far from the university (almost 350km) and the lack of specialized academic libraries in the region, our library makes available the textbooks for students and provides basic references and books for researchers.
UNICORN, a recent, integrated and one of the most complicated programs in the world used by libraries, was adopted on 13/2/1426 AH. This program enables users from the college and outside the college to easily do online searches and borrowings. Besides, this program can list more than 25000 titles.
College students as well as researchers can use the Net to access the college website and benefit from the IBISTRO system used by the library to find the information and data they look for. The library is also open for college students and the public.
3/4- "Community Awareness – A Shared Responsibility" is the title of the cultural week held by the college between 7/3/1426-11/3/1426 AH. A Book Fair held by some publishing houses, Computer Exhibition as well as Evening Seminars and Scientific Lectures were some of the activities carried out during this week.

3/5- In coordination with the College of Sciences ( Department of Physics and Astronomy), the college published a calendar for the year 1426H showing the local time of prayers in Al-Aflaj region. It also distributed the calendar to all mosques, schools and official departments to help with the unification of prayer calls all over Al-Aflaj region. Finally, the college has decided to continue on doing this work as a small token of serving the local community.
