Welcome to the College of Computer & Information Sciences, King Saud University.
The College of Computer & Information Sciences is one of the first colleges in computer and information technology in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Since its foundation in 1403H (1983), it has been working hard to implement computer technology at educational, research, and administrative levels.
The college has been present in academia for almost twenty five. Up to the academic year 1423-1424H (2002-2003), it saw the graduation of no less than two thousand students. All these graduates are now actively contributing to the building of an information society in the Kingdom.
The college created the Saudi Computer Society in 1408H (1989) as a specialized scientific body in information technology, and the National Information Technology Plan for the Kingdom in 1424H (2005). The college was also the host of a large number of national conferences and symposia in different fields of Computer and information sciences.
The college has concrete plans for the near future, in particular:
Increasing admission rate in various departments and programs at graduate and postgraduate levels.
Renovating curricula and academic programs at all levels to keep up with contemporary academic and technical developments.
Encouraging co-operation between the College and various sectors of Saudi society by offering academic, training, and consultancy services.
Participating actively in raising awareness about information society in the Kingdom.
Stimulating collaboration among researchers, scholars, scientists, and academic institutions within and outside the Kingdom to improve academic research and educational performance at the College
