The Directorate of Postgraduate Dental Education started admitting graduate students who commenced their studies at the beginning of 1989-1990 G (1410-1411 H) session. The first batch of graduate students obtained their Master's degree in June 1993 (Dhulhajjah 1413). By the end of 2006-2007 academic year, thirty-one (31) males and eighty-nine (89) females had successfully undertaken their graduate dental education in nine dental specialties.
