| Dental Labs |
Production Labs
The dental production labs are equipped with advanced machines that enhanced quality and productivity. In the light of CAD/CAM innovations, the lab acquired the Cercon eye / Cercon milling machine that allows technicians to fabricate Zirconia prostheses. The labs are staffed with dental laboratory technicians who are specialized in the following areas: orthodontic appliances, crowns and bridges, complete dentures, partial dentures, and ceramics. |
Student Labs
All practical courses are taught in three specialized labs to prepare the students for the clinical courses. The labs are equipped with the state-of-the-art equipment and materials to achieve the desired educational goals.
●The Phantom lab is a patient simulation clinic equipped with manikin models and plastic teeth to simulate the patient.
●The Biosciences lab contains modern optical microscopes and distillation units to prepare solutions for students and Ion concentration measuring devices of hydrogen to measure acidity and alkality; centrifuge equipment solutions mixers by moving magnets.
●The Dental production lab is for the students practical courses in dental prostheses. |

KSU College of Dentistry Journal
The University Council approved the KSU College of Dentistry Journal and suggested that the editorial board should be headed by a member of the faculty, and each department be represented by an Associate Professor or a Professor. The journal is aimed at providing the opportunity for researchers in the field of dentistry to publish their scientific articles and original research work to add to the general knowledge of the science. Also, it will publish article reviews of previous researches and new books and other publications in the field. |
