The Reading Room at the DUC campus was in operation since 1991. It includes convenient and expanded study and research area for students (Postgraduate, Interns, 5th year), Saudi Board Residents, Faculty and Staff.
From its humble beginnings, the Reading Room presently houses a huge collection of books, journal titles (in CD, microfiche and hard copies), binded Theses and Interns' Seminars, and VCD collection of lectures.
The collection of books are classified following the Dewey Decimal Classification System and are shelved in a way that is accessible to readers. Journals are arranged in alphabetical order separating the current from the back issues in journal boxes properly labeled and arranged according to years.
The facility also accesses the huge KSU University Library through interated on-line information system (CICSE). Other services offered are online access, photocopying and research assistance. This facility is open 5 days a week from 8 am to 5 pm Saturday to Wednesday.
