Report on the Visit of the Delegates from The Ohio State University               
                          
A delegation from the Ohio State University toured the campus of the College of Dentistry of King Saud University last Tuesday, 13 November 2007, a program sponsored by the Office of the Vice-Rector of Branch Affairs.  The visiting delegation was headed by Prof. Daniel Sedmak, the Executive Vice Dean of the College of Medicine.  The visitors were warmly welcomed and met by the Dean of the College, Prof. Abdullah Al Yahya with the presence of the Vice-Deans of the College, the Chairmen of the Departments and a group of University of Ohio Alumni who successfully obtained their Master’s degree and Certificate of Competence from the said University in USA.

 The University of Ohio delegates together with the Dean of the College of Dentistry discussed several issues on bilateral cooperation between the College of Dental Medicine of the American University of Ohio and the College of Dentistry of King Saud University in the following:

1.                  Areas of dental education in primary and post-graduate degree.

2.                  Fields of scientific research and joint research between the two universities in addition to exchanging research experiences.

3.                  Areas of exchange of visits between faculty members whether faculty or researchers or visiting speakers in dental conferences organized by the College of Dentistry, King Saud University

4.                  Facilitating the acceptance of students and repeaters of the College of Higher Studies at the Faculty of Dentistry, American University of Ohio.
