Education

Graduated from the College of Dentistry, King Saud University on February 2nd, 1988 with a Bachelor of Dental Surgery (B.D.S).

Joined Pediatric Dentistry Division, King Saud University as a Demonstrator from Feb 1989 to April 1991.

Postgraduate Intensive Training in Pediatric Dentistry for a period of two years from 25th April 1991 to 30th August 1993 leading to an Advanced Education Program Certificate in Pediatric Dentistry from Tufts University School of Dental Medicine.

Graduate Studies; Master of Science in dental research with an excellent “A” grades in both the Thesis and the Thesis Defense from Tufts University School Of Dental Medicine from Sept. 1993 to Feb. 1995.

One year continuing education certificate in Early Treatment of Mal-occlusion from The Institute of Growth and Development in Pediatric, Mass., USA (from Sept. 1992 to March 1993).

One year teaching experience in a University outside the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia;  During my Master of Science studies I have selected to be a clinical instructor in the department of pediatric dentistry at Tufts University – School of Dental Medicine to supervise the first and second years postgraduate students in addition to the undergraduate dental students.

Joined the pediatric dentistry division at King Saud University as a Lecturer and specialist in pediatric dentistry on March 1995.

Ph.D studies in pediatric dentistry from the University of Newcastle upon Tyne – England – UK. On the period from Oct 1996 to July 2000. In which two important topics of pediatric dentistry were studied in the PhD thesis; dental trauma and erosion. In the methodology; the project was carried out into clinical examination and questionnaire of 1310 children.

ثانياً :  السيرة التعليمية :

1- تخرج من جامعة الملك سعود ــ كلية طب الأسنان وحاز على درجة البكالوريوس في طب الأسنان في 3/7/1407هـ.

2-أكمل سنة الامتياز في الفترة من 3/7/1408هـ إلى 2/7/1409هـ.

3-عُين كطبيب أسنان وكُلّف بأعباء معيد في قسم وقاية الأسنان شعبة طب أسنان الأطفال في الفترة من 13/6/1409هـ إلى 2/9/1411هـ. 

4- أكمل البرنامج التدريبي لتخصصي في طب أسنان الأطفال من جامعة تفتس-  بوسطن - الولايات المتحدة الأمريكية وحصل على تخصص طب أسنان الأطفال في الفترة من 8/10/1411هـ إلى 4/3/1414هـ الموافق: من 9/7/91م إلى 3/8/93م.

5- حصل على شهادة الماجستير بالامتياز في المناقشة والرسالة من جامعة تفتس - بوسطن - الولايات المتحدة الأمريكية في الفترة من 21/3/1414هـ إلى 5/8/1415هـ الموافق: من 7/9/1993م إلى 6/1/1995م.

6- حصل على شهادة في المعالجات الأولية لتقويم الأسنان من معهد النمو والتطور في طب أسنان الأطفال من ولاية ماستشوستس بالولايات المتحدة الأمريكية وذلك بحضوره لمدة سنة في الفترة من 9/92م إلى 3/93م.

7- شارك في التدريس في جامعة تفتس - كلية طب الأسنان وأشرف على طلاب البكالوريوس والتخصص في قسم طب أسنان الأطفال وذلك لمدة سنة وأربعة أشهر من يوليو 93م إلى نوفمبر 94م. 

8- عُين كمحاضر في جامعة الملك سعود - قسم وقاية الأسنان شعبة طب أسنان الأطفال في 24/12/1415هـ.

9- حصل على شهادة الدكتوراه في طب أسنان الأطفال من جامعة نيوكاسل أبون تاين إنجلترا - المملكة المتحدة في الفترة من 19/5/1417هـ الموافق 1/10/1996م إلى 5/4/1421هـ الموافق 7/7/2000م.

10-عين أستاذ مساعد في قسم وقاية الأسنان- شعبة طب أسنان الأطفال -  قسم وقاية الأسنان بجامعة الملك سعود في 22/7/1421هـ إلى الوقت الحاضر.
