IC 501 Subject Description for M.A. Degree Research Methods
This subject aims to introduce the student to the original sources of his field of specialization, giving a concernment to a study and an analysis of selected texts, and then deduce scientific results from it.

IC 521 Comp. Rules' in Islamic Jursp. ( 2 Credit-hours)
The subject matters of this course are; the Islamic legal rule, explanation of its peculiarities,and comparing it with the secular law rule in brief; touching on several Islamic-juristic rules and studying their applied branches in the light of the following references: "Al-ashbah wa - nnazair" by ibn Nojaym. "Al ashbah wa - nnazair" by Assiyuti, Takhry "Al - Foro'ala al - Osul" by Azzanjani, "Attamhid Fi Takhrij al -Foro' 'ala al-Osul" by Al - Asnawr, "Al-foroq" by Al - Qarafi, "Al - Gawa'id" by Ibn Rajas Al -Hanbali, and other compilations and references as these.
IC 522 Comp. Islamic Criminal Jurisp. (2 Credit-hours)
The themes of this syllabus are : A study of some comparative criminal rules and their divisions according to muslim jurists and a study of some secular law criminal rules in the light of Islamic Jurisp., which are the principles of ; 1.Personal penalty, 2. No crime and No punishment without a textual evidence, 3. No penalty on suspicion criterion, 4. Man's innocence is presumed, unless proven otherwise, 5. Equality before the Islamic Criminal legislation.
IC 523 International Relations in Islam.
This course deals with : manifestation of the Principles of the Isl. International law system, and illustration of the rules of international conventions in Islam.
IC 524 Foundations of Comp. Isl. Turisp. -I- (2 Credit-hours)
Here, the student studies one topic in detail and integration. It is suggested to be a comprehensive study about Independent Reasoning (Ijtihad) and its principles.
IC 525 Islamic Jurisp : Textual Studies. (2 Credit-hours)
This syllabus contains : A study of some selected chapters from various sources of Isl. Jurisp including legislative texts and principles from the texts and commentaries of the schools of jurisp. so that a student will be able to understand the symbols and idioms of the ancient books of Isl. Jurisp.
IC 526 Legislative & Judicial Systs. in the Cont. Isl. World.
Besides studying the items of the title of this course, the student is introduced to the publication of "Majalat al - ahmam al - 'dlia, "the emergence of Secular laws and their replacement of the Isl. Jurisp". This course also treats the judicial system and the bases of civil and legislative trials, with special reference to the actual practice and application in Saudi Arabia.
IC 527 Comp. Islamic Jurisp. of Family Affairs.
This course covers the following items : A study of some cases of isl. Family jurisp., e.g.: Foster age "Rida'a", privacy "Khalwa", engagement "Khitba", kinship "Annasab", dowry firtness or eligibility "Kafaa", and marriage contract stipulation. The treatment of these items is to be integral and comparative, with special reference to their practice and application in Saudi Arabia.
IC 530 Quranic Sciences. (2 Credit-hours)
This syllabus contains : Introducing the reference books of this topic, and studying in detail some of its terms, such as : Revelation ; the origin of recitation sciences, the seven letters, the clear "Mohkam", the allegorical "motashabih", the seven letters, the clear "Mohkam", the allegorical "motashabih", the repeal "Annaskh", etc., and refuting the arguments of the orientalists.
IC 531 Funds of Quranic Interpretations. (2 Credit - hours)
This course is about : Introduction to "Tafsir", recognition of the hidden meaning (Tawil) and its sources, and the attitude of interpreters toward Israelite stories.
IC 532 Methods of Quranic Interpreters. (2 Credit-hours)
This subject deals with the methods of the most famous Qur. interpreters in history, their lives and their books.
IC 533 Quranic Interpretation. -1- (2 Credit-hours)
In this class the student studies approximately two parts of the Quran. The study should be analytical and compares between the two schools of interpretation : Mathur and Ray.
IC 534 Terminology of Prophet Mohammad (Pbuh) Traditions. (2Credit-hours)
This class discusses in details : the authentic and approved traditions (Sahih & Hassan), some kinds of non-authentic traditions (Dha'if), in order to make the rules of this topic very clear to the student.
IC 535 Evaluation of the Pro. Traditions Narrators. (2 Credit-hours)
This material considers the following. The conditions of the evaluator (the critic); stages of evaluation, terminology of each scholar (evaluator); studying some of the reference books of this material, and all this will enable the student to have good knowledge to evaluate the narrators.
IC 536 Prophet Mohammad (Pbuh) Tradition. -I- (2Credit-hours)
In this topic, the student studies the methods of all different books of traditions (Jawami' Sunan, Masanid, Ma'ajim, Ajza, Fawaid, etc.) then he studies samples from each type.
IC 537 Derivation of Pro. Mohd. Tradition. (2 Credit-hours)
In this course the student practices how to derive traditions and applying the scholars of Hadithe rules for evaluating the traditions in order to know whether they are authentic or not, and the degree of authenticity.
IC 540 The Tenet of the Sunnites -I- (2 Credit-hours)
This subject studies the method of the sunnites for the assertion of belief origins, together with demonstration of their conciliation of harmony between reason ('Agl) and tradition (Nagl) and explanation of their opinion toward recognition of the hidden meaning (Tawil).
IC 541 Theological Issues -I- (2 Credit-hours)
This topic studies the issues of faith, divine attributes of Allah "Al - Asma wa ssifat" as attributed by Kharigites, Shi'aites, Mo'tazilites, Ash'arites and Matoridiya in the light of the Sunnites tenet.
IC 542 Non-Islamic Religions -I- (2 Credit-hours)
This subject tackles the issue of Divinity as attributed to Judaism, Christianity, Confucianism and Zoroastrianism, in the light of the Isl. Tenets.

This syllabus contains : A critical study of the issues of Greek Philo., with respect to : divinity, Universe, manking, and moral trends in the light of Islam.
IC 544 The Opinion of Islamic Toward Philo. (2 Credit-hours)
This course studies the cause of Divinity and its related problemetic matters such as : anteriority and the creation of the world, proofs of the existence of Allah attributed to the Isl. Philosophers : Al Kindi, Al Farabi, Ibn Sina, and Ibn Roshd in the light of the Sunnites tenet.
IC 545 Islamic Morals. (2 Credit-hours)
This subject embodies: a study of the general basics of the isl. morals as it is revealed in Quran and the Honoured Sunna, showing how these basics are applied by jurists and scholars of Hadith, in comparison with the methods of theologians, philosophers and "sufis".
IC 546 The Opinion of Isl. Toward Sufism. (2 Credit-hours)
This curriculum contains: A study of the issues of : Asceticism "zohd", Allah's favoritism "Wilaya", prophecy, along with studying the opinions appeared with the emergence of Sufism, which are : Annihilation "fana", incarnation "Ittihad", Subrogation "Holul" and Patheism "wohdat al -wojud", in the light of Islam.
IC 555 Founs. Of Comp. Isl. Jurisp. -II- (2 Credit-hours)
This course discusses each item in a comprehensive and integral way. Suggested topics are: contradiction (Ta'arodh) and preference (Tarjih), or on approbation (Istihsan) and consideration of the public interest (masalih Morsala), taking into consideration the effects of disagreement on the legislative application.

This course deals with the following topics:
A study of an integral and comprehensive history of a prominent muslim jurist, including : his full name, time, growth, culture, environment, qualities, qualification, the political and religious state of his time, and his attitude toward it, his significant students, characteristics of his school of jurisp. (Mathhab) regarding belief, foundations, jurisp. and other relative sciences; his famous books, propagation of his school of jurisp., and evaluation of his "Mathhab".
IC 557 Quranic Interpretation -II- (2 Credit-hours)
This course is an and lytic study of an item throughout the whole of the Quran, such as: money Jihad, story, .. etc.
IC 559 Pro. Mohd. Tradition - II ( 2 credit-hours)
In this course the student studies a number of traditions from different chapters. The study includes the Chain of narrators (Isnad) as well as the text (matn), and expands on explanatory books, showing the characteristics of each one of the books.
IC 563 The Judicial System in Islam (2 credit-hours)
This course tackles the following issues: A study of judicial and judges' authority; the judicial judgments; the principle of the force of pronounced decisions and its legal evidence; other different schools of jurisp.
IC 566 Interp. of Our. Verses of Ordinances (2 credit-hours)
This course tackles the following topics: A comprehensive study of the secular modern banking system and its various operations and dealings, a and the Isl. substitute which is the Isl. baking system.

This subject deals with the modern scholars the books of Ur. Interp. It distinguishes between the right and wrong trends, and studies the new attempts to give a modern interp. of the Quran.
IC 569 The Pro. Mohd Ordinance Traditions (2 credit-hours)
The student must study twenty traditions of these types from books such as: Subul Assalam, and Nayl al-Awtar. The student shall memorize them.

This course studies the basics of the Sunnites tenet, together with studying some selected texts of these basics.
IC 581 Theological Issues -II- (2 Credit-hours)
This class studies the questions of : Destiny, prophethoods and Imamate as envisaged by the death with issues in the previous course is titled "Theological issues -I-" in the light of Sunnites tenet.
IC 582 The Opinion of Isl. Toward Philos -I- (2 Credit-hours)
This course treats the issues of prohecy and resurrection attributed to the philosophers mentioned in the previous material which is titled: "the Opinion of Isl. Toward Philosophy"' in the light of the Sunnites tenet.
IC 585 Non-Islamic Religions -II- (2 Credit-hours)
This topic comprises a detailed study of the issue of prophecy attributed to non-isl. religions, as has been studied before in the sourse' titled "Non-Isl. Religions-I-"' in addition to Babiya, Bahaiya, and Gadyaniya, in the light of Isl. tenet.
IC 586 Modern & Cont. Philo. In the light of Isl. (2 Credit-hours)
This course covers the following items : a study of epistemology and the existence theory attributed to the rationalists, experimentalists, pragmatists, positivists (secularists) and logicians. It also studies freedom as its envisaged by existentialists and Marxians in the light of Islam.

IC 588 How to Counteract Christian Missionary Activities.

This course tackles the historical reasons behind the western attitude toward Islam and Muslims, especially the relationship between evangelism and colonialism. It also tackles the cruciferous and imperialistic targets; christian missionary instruments of preaching; the zionistic cruciferous cooperation and the duty of Muslims toward the christian missionary.

IC 600 Masters of Arts (M.A) Thesis. (6 Credit-hours)
The research topic is to be chosen by the student in the field of his specialization, after the completion of studying the required theoretical subjects of his B.A. It is to be original and useful. It is a complementary research for the M.A. requirements, and is to be completed in no less than two semesters and no more than four semesters.
