- How long is the program of study and what is the program of study?
o The KSU portion of the program will last for four semesters in addition to a summer session.
§ First Semester: Students will be registered in 15 credit hours.
§ Second Semester: Students will be registered in 14 credit hours.
§ Third Semester: Students will be registered in 13 credit hours.
§ Forth Semester: Project work (4 credit hours)
o The Leeds part of the program will last for ten weeks during the summer.
§ Students will be enrolled in 13 credit hours (courses + Graduation project) with minimum of 20 actual class hours.
- What are the admission requirements?
o Prospective students are expected to meet the following requirements:
§ At least BA degree in a related field of study.
§ At least 2 years of teaching experience
§ IELTS 6.5 (with no paper less than 6) or TEOFL equivalent (580 and TWE 4.0)
- When does the program start?
o The KSU portion of the program will commence on October 2008
o The Leeds program will be held between June and September after the second semester. The exact dates will be announced to the students during their King Saud University’s portion of the program.

- Are there any prerequisite courses for the program?
o It is expected that prospective students have at least a BA degree in a field of study related to the field of Teaching English Language. Students who do not meet this requirement may not be accepted in the MA program.
- What portion of the program will be offered at Leeds university?
o Students will take 3 modules of 3 credits at Leeds university:
§ Material design and development for TESOL
§ Teaching English to young learners
§ Teacher Education for TESOL
§ In addition to delivering a graduation project of up to 10,000 words.
- What accommodations will be provided in Leeds, UK.
o The University of Leads can provide accommodations in the university campus, within walking distance to the College of Education. The program fee includes the accommodation cost for Leeds-provided living units.
o Students will be responsible for paying their insurance fees.
- How much would the MA program cost in Saudi Riyals?
o The program will cost 80,000 Saudi Riyals, and that includes:
§ Tuition fees for three semesters at KSU.
§ Tuition fees for the summer semester (10 weeks) at Leeds University.
§ Housing (a room with a private bath) at the campus of Leeds University.
§ Air travel (return ticket Riyadh, SA – Leeds, UK).
o The program fee does not include the following:
§ Living expenses in Leeds, UK.
§ Any insurance fees.
§ Medical expenses
- What are acceptable payment methods?
o The following payment methods are accepted:
§ Full payment of 80,000 SR By check payable to :King Saud University at the beginning of the program.
§ Four installments of 20,000 SR paid before the beginning of each semester.

- Do Students have to be on official leave form work?
o Since classes start in the afternoon (4 pm), students don't have to be on official leave from work while studying in the program unless they live away from Riyadh.
