Research Chairs Program
Keeping pace with the kind directives of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, and his Crown Prince and their keenness for excellence in the field of research and development, and for the Kingdom to assume a distinguished status in creativity, innovation, research and development in support of a knowledge-based national economy, King Saud University (KSU) has launched the research chair program which aims at reaching excellence in research and development (R&D) and knowledge-based economy, in a way to contribute in helping the Kingdom reach a world-class status in excellence, creativity and innovation, in addition to developing the partnership with the different communities of the society.
A research chair is meant to be a research status, which is granted to highly distinguished (nationally and internationally) scholars with outstanding scientific contributions quantitatively and qualitatively in their respective research fields. Each research chair will extend over a renewable four-year period.
