The mission of the Department of Electrical Engineering is to provide an excellent and comprehensive undergraduate education in the field of electrical engineering. We shall be amongst the best in the region in providing quality education. We shall invoke the desire and ability of life-long learning in our graduates for pursuing successful career in engineering and postgraduate studies.
Objectives
Equip our graduates with knowledge and applications of advances in state-of-the-art technologies for successful careers in the highly competitive positions in the electrical engineering sector.
This objective shall be achieved through:
1. A well-tailored and progressive sequence of subjects in which emphasis is placed on a sound understanding of fundamental engineering principles.
2. Emphasizing the application of science and mathematics in the core courses.
3. Qualified faculty who are up-to-date on industrial and community issues learned via applied research, consulting, seminars, conferences and short courses.
Emphasize human, conceptual, and technical skills that contribute towards development and applications of knowledge.
This objective shall be achieved through:
1. Promoting effective oral and written communications skills in order to produce engineers capable of learning and communicating in more than one language.
2. Utilization of modern teaching software tools and laboratory equipment in engineering analysis and design.
3. Applying engineering concepts & principles in multi-disciplinary surroundings, projects and teamwork.
4. Emphasizing the reasoning and application of knowledge in problem solving and self-reliance.
5. Familiarizing the students with the challenges they might face after graduation by providing industrial training.
Disseminate excellent broad education that emphasizes social awareness and life- long learning.

1. Emphasizing professional, cultural, ethical and community responsibilities.
2. Awareness and knowledge of the contemporary and global issues
