King Saud University (KSU) offers different facilities to motivate scientific research. Since its establishment, in 1974-1975, the Research Center, College of Engineering, has been engaged in encouraging the scientific activities of the College faculty members by providing them with financial, technical and administrative support.  The research projects cover different engineering fields both on theoretical and applied levels.  The research projects funded by the Research Center reflect a major part of the research activities at the College.  However, a number of faculty members carry out unfunded research activities at the academic departments as well.
