King Saud University in Riyadh is seeking applications for faculty positions in the Petroleum and Natural Gas Engineering Department. The positions are open for all fields and for all ranks.
Faculty in Petroleum and Natural Gas Engineering Department will teach undergraduate and graduate courses, develop research program, and will engage in department activities.
Salary and Benefits:
Assistant professor : (around 8000 SR) basic salary + 400 SR yearly increments
Associate professor : ( around 10000 SR) basic salary + 450 SR yearly increments
Full professor : (around 12500 SR) basic salary + 500 SR yearly increments
The salary is based on years of experience on the current rank
Note: No tax deducted as this represent the net salary
This is an approximate figure and the official package will be sent by the employment office
In addition to the mentioned salary, the following benefits are included:
education allowance up to 3 children (for non-Arabic speaker professor) + housing allowance (25000 SR) + furniture allowance (only once) + Free round trip air tickets for up to four persons to home country each year + two months’ paid summer leave + end of service gratuity.
The currency exchange rate (1 US dollar = 3.75 Saudi Riyal)
Children Education:
In addition to Internationally recognized English media schools there exist number of schools governed by foreign embassies and teach in their native languages in Riyadh (i.e. Turkish,Indian, Pakistanis) (Kindergarten to Grade 12).

King Saud University is considered the largest and most elite university in the Kingdom.
The Department of Petroleum and Natural Gas Engineering at King Saud University was established in 1974 to become the first Petroleum Engineering Department in the Kingdom and the entire Gulf region. Its establishment was a national response to the increasing demand for petroleum engineers in a country that has more than 25% of the total world oil reserves. This is the largest reserve in any single country in the world.
The Petroleum and Natural Gas Engineering (PGE) program has been designed in accordance with the international standards and criteria of engineering education to serve the goals of the development plans of the Kingdom in preparing the graduates to fit in different job sectors within the field of specialization.
