The agricultural extension center cooperates and coordinates with the different academic departments in the faculty to:
- Provide technical consultancies to the farmers and agricultural corporations in the different agricultural sciences.
- Provide technical assistance to farmers and agricultural corporation such as:
a. Recommendations regarding type and quantity of fertilizer to be added to different types of soil.
b. Determining suitability of irrigation water from different sources.
c. Diagnosis of plant diseases and methods of its control.
- Responding to the farmers telephone and mail inquiries about agricultural problems facing them in coordination with different academic departments.
- Publication of extension pamphlets, booklets and posters containing new agricultural technologies and practices in the different agricultural areas.
- Providing extension services in the areas of nutrition and home economics especially in the areas of house management, home food industries, mother and child care, tailoring, crafts and human relations.
- Organizing extension symposiums and workshops in the different agricultural areas.
- Organizing agricultural exhibitions and participating in the different national occasions.
