Advertisement: The College of Food and Agricultural Sciences, represented by the Animal Production Department will host Professor Anton Baynin,  one of the most publishing researchers in the field of animal nutrition and physiology, through the Scientist Fellowship Program. Professor Anton Baynin is from Utrecht University, at Netherland. Currently, he works at Rajamangala University for Science and Technology at Thailand. He will present a lecture titled: Dietary fatty acids: more than energy: The lecture will be presented on Saturday 14/5/1430 H, at 1:00 pm, at the college main theatre (1A 48).  He will also present a second lecture for the graduate students at the Animal Production Department. The lecture title is: Calcium and magnesium requirements of high-producing cows: This lecture will be presented on Sunday, 14/5/1430 H, at 9:00 am, at the lecture room of the Animal Production Department, College of Food and Agricultural Sciences.

Dr. Hobani is a member of the editorial board of the International Journal for Food Research. Dr. Ali Hobani, member of Agricultural Engineering Department has joined the editorial board of the International Food Research Journal based in the University of Putra, Malaysia. Research Chair for Nutrition and Human Health: Prof. Dr. Abdullah Al-Othman, president of the University  has signed the research chair contract with the Group of Abdulmohsen Alhokair which will be in the field of nutrition and human health. The Sixth International Arab Apicultural Conference: The sixth international arab apicultural conference will be held at the college of Food and Agricultural Sciences from 17 th to the 19th of Mar. 2009    

Green Energy Research Chair: This research chair is concerned with the utilization of natural resources and circulation of human activities wastes as alternative source for energy production and the making use of it in the environmental safety and human health. This could be attained through conducting research, knowledge exchange and technology transfer in the research chair field and its utilization at the production level for a better civilized life.

Scientist Fellowship Program: The college of food and agricultural sciences represented by the Plant Protection Department hosts the Scientist Fellowship Program which is one of the six approved programs at King Saud University (KSU) during this year (2008), so far. An agreement was made between KSU represented by Professor Khalid Al-Mutlaq at the Plant Protection Department, college of food and agricultural sciences and Professor Bernd Simoneit, at Oregon State University, USA for scientific cooperation between them for the benefits of both sides. The contract was made for one year and is renewable.
