The college has gained the trust of international specialized scientific entities by getting the approval of the proposed project for establishing a center for Excellence in Biotechnology Research. Accordingly, a contract was signed between King Saud University and the Ministry of Higher Education on March 10, 200 for establishing the center with a budget of 45 million Saudi Riyals. The center includes five colleges as follows: College of Food and Agricultural Sciences, the Colleges of Medicine, the College of Pharmacy, the College of Sciences, and the College of Applied Medical Sciences.
