In the Name of Allah, the Most Merciful and the Most Compassionate

Dear explorer:

The website of the college of food and agricultural sciences is the first gate for who desire to know the nature of the college and its scientific specializations I hope you find the site beneficial and to have the answers for your inquires.

The academic affair is the backbone of the education process. Therefore, it is responsible for preparing the appropriate circumstances for each educational stage from student registration to graduation thru preparing the study timetable and distribution the courses and curriculums and setting up the final examination schedules. where in each classroom the freshmen are received by preparing a special program for them including receiving the study timetables with detailed explanation about how to deal with the study timetable and to access the halls and distributing the booklets for preparing the student to adopt with the university life.

The trip of the academic affairs  with the student continue step by step to resolve all  obstacles that might face the student, in coordination with the department heads, academic advisors, and the faculty members.

Because of the college believe in going along with rapid development in all the applied and theoretical agricultural science fields, and also going along with the university ambition, and what is required to serve the agricultural development in the Kingdom, the college has planned to improve and develop the academic plan to suit the vast number and the different specializations in agricultural sciences. The programs have passed through five distinct principal developmental stages since the college was established more than 43 years ago. These included the initial establishment stage since the college was established in 1965 until 1974 during which there was only one specialization in the college, agricultural sciences (general). The second stage was the concentration stage and it continued from 1975 to 1980 where the academic plan was developed to include five concentrations. The third stage was the specialization stage and it continued from 1980 to 1990  during which the nutrition and home economic for girl students was developed. The fourth stage was an intense developmental stage and continued from 1990  to 2005. The current stage  is the fifth stage during which the principal event was the renaming of the college to become college of food and agricultural sciences and the replacement of the old specializations by new ones. This stage was applied since 2006 . Additionally, the college provide master degree programs in all departments (specializations), and Ph. D. degree programs in two programs.

Finally, we are looking forward to your visit to the different academic units at the college to see some of their accomplishments.

May Allah, the almighty saves you.
