Entomology

- Identification of many species and genera of insects, acari, which are widely distributed in different localities of the Kingdom.
- Biological studies (including, life cycles, growth, development, reproduction, habitat and behavior), pests management, sciences of bee and honey production, pathogens- insect transmission, stored materials insects, and animal pests (e.g. rodents, birds, mollusks, mites and bats).

 
Plant Pathology

- Identification of plant parasitic nematodes and plant pathogens (viruses, fungi and bacteria) to the generic and species levels.
- Running experiments and studies on some biological and ecological phenomena (e.g. life cycles of the pathogens, and their relation to plants) in order to suggest the most suitable control measures for these pests.
- Detection of water pollution with bacteria.

 
Pesticide

- This branch concerned with suggestion and recommendation the most suitable pesticides and their application methods to manage all the agricultural pests in general. Besides, it is also concerned with the side effects which might result from the overuse of the pesticides. The branch also gives a special interest to the pollution of the agricultural environment by dangerous chemicals, and determination of the pollution levels in water, soil, agricultural products and foods.
