Project in Translation

This course crowns the students’ competence in translation activities. Their acquired skills and translation techniques are expected to be displayed through a thorough translation assignment. A book that is relevant to translation theory or translation performance, applied linguistics, theoretical linguistics, law, science, religion, commerce or any related topic of interest to the student translator is assigned. The student is supposed to translate a hundred pages of the chosen book.

PROCEDURE:

The student is expected to turn in ten pages translated from English into Arabic. Students’ translation is discussed, corrected, and finalized with the participation of other students and the supervision of their tutor.
