MISSION STATEMENT

The mission of the department of Family and Community Medicine is to prepare medical students for family-oriented health care delivery system and to give students an understanding of the family and community as the basic units of society. The program is broad and it emphasizes comprehensive medical care for the whole family and community. It is taught by a core of full-time faculty members and a large contingent of practicing   physicians who are also faculty members of the department. Besides, this team exposes students to the role of the physicians in the general community, patient community at KKUH and in the medical community.
