A.    The department organizes its monthly Journal Club, where the faculty members represent their topics of interest.

B.    The Department of Family and Community Medicine is organizing the following four workshops in every academic year.

1.   Family Medicine Essentials.

2.   Evidence Based Medicine

3.   Research Methodology and Biostatistics

4.   Diabetes care.

C.    The Department Faculty members offers guidance and services to other Department Faculty members in their research projects. And the members are also involved as resource persons in the teaching programs of other educational institutions.

D.    Continuous Medical Education

The department offers different programs for Master Degree. Diploma, Arab Board for Family medicine, Fellowship of King Saud University for Family Medicine. Recently; a certificate of Saudi Council in Family Medicine and a Diploma in Field Epidemiology has been added.
