The Department endeavors to help patients in solving familial or social problems they are encountered with , and   in adapting to their newly ensued life circumstances as a result of their disease, and prepares their families to deal with them particularly if they are caught with a handicap that limit their usual activities. It provides financial aid directly or through charitable societies within the available resources at hand, donates medical equipment, secures  temporary or permanent accommodation, furnishes air tickets or transport fees, and refers them to other social institutions as their case may be . The Department also spread awareness among patients in respect of not only following the physicians’ instructions and treatment course but also in accepting the offered treatment.  The required service is offered after preparing  a comprehensive study of the case in question so that the service offered is seen as part of the total treatment course offered to the patient . One of the most notable activity of the department is the occasional surveys it carries out in order to ascertain the patients’ satisfaction with the services offered.
