Aims of the Department:

1.      To provide an efficient ante-natal care for the mother and her fetus and improve the general health status of the Saudi Community.

2.      To be in the fore front in the provision of health education to the general public.

3.      To provide basic knowledge in obstetrics & gynaecology to medical students.

4.      To teach, train and assist post graduate doctors achieve the necessary theoretical and practical skill as laid down by the regulations of the Saudi/Arab Boards and the Royal College of Obstetricians & Gynaecology.

Others

 We mean to provide comprehensive, quality health care for women throughout their reproductive years and beyond. These experienced and board certified/eligible physicians combine a wide variety of interests and expertise to deal with the problems and concerns covering the spectrum of a woman's life from childhood/adolescence, to the reproductive years, to menopause and beyond. We aim to educate women on health maintenance and prevention of medical illnesses, as well as to participate in decision making regarding the management of their current conditions through detailed evidence-based counseling and practice.

The members of our division are also fully committed to education, not only of our patients, but to medical students and resident physicians training to be Obstetricians and Gynecologists. Many of the Division members are also contributing to the advancement of health care for women by their involvement in research.
