Department Goals and Objectives
o Establish and implement IT standards ( Policies and Procedures ) according to ISO 9002, ITIL, ISO 17799 , COBIT for Management, IT Auditing, System Administration , Database Administration, Operation, Network Administration, User Support, Hardware Maintenance, Application Production, Hardware Capacity Planning and Upgrade, Environment, Safety, and Security, Department Staffing (Job Description, Organization Structure) , Forms and Templates, PMO Office and the development of the software and the administration and management of all computer and network systems within the University Hospitals and IT Center..
o Devise a unified Information Technology strategic plan to support the information and computing needs and Future requirements of the University Hospitals and Info. Systems such as Health Care System , PACS, DMS,.E-Learning, RIS, Help Desk Support Center, MMS….ETC.
o Develop an Information Technology implementation plan and execute this plan to provide the hardware, network, and software to support the goals set forth in the Strategic Plan.
o Define the Information Technology and associated applications functional requirements of the University Hospitals Integrated Health Care System and identify Especially those functions (Clinical, Ancillary, Support, and Administrative) which require the support of Information Technology.
o Acquire, Develop and implement the application software and associated information technology to support the reengineering of those functions which will generate the maximum return from the use of Information Technology.
o Design and implement the University Hospitals Health Care Database to integrate and unify the information and data resources of the University Health Care System.
o Define, procure, and install the hardware and system software to support the production of the application software.
o Define the network and communication requirements of the University Hospitals Health Care System to support the production of all IT applications.
o Design and implement an integrated network and communication system to support the network and communication requirements of the University Hospitals Health Care System.
o Provide the required IT training for all concerned staff.
o Conduct the operation, production, and administration of the computer and network systems of the University Health Care System and provide the required support for the production of the application software.
o Establish Anew centralized PMO Office, and E-Learning Sections.
