The Goals and Objectives of the Radiology are to offer services to citizens and familiarize the students with:
· The ordering of appropriate imaging examinations.
· Finding the findings, i.e., detecting basic abnormalities on imaging examinations.
· Integrating the results of the examinations into the diagnostic and therapeutic processes.
Upon completion, the student should be familiar with identifying indications and contraindications and feel comfortable in the appropriate ordering of imaging examinations. In addition, the student is expected to be comfortable and familiar with the review and interpretation of conventional radiographic and other imaging examinations.
To provide the radiology resident with sufficient hands on experience and lecture background to enable him to safely perform standard interventional procedures and prepare him for work or fellowship training should he so desire.
