Department of Maternal & Child Health Nursing

h   Introduction:

The department of Maternal and Child Health Nursing is one of four departments in the college of Nursing. It was established in 1424/1425 AH. & its mission, purpose and philosophies are derived from those of the college of Nursing.

The department presents some courses to bachelor degree students as they will graduate as general nurses. Whereas the department offers Master science degree in maternity nursing, midwifery and pediatric nursing. The language of instruction is English.

d      Other Department Activities:

1. The department shares in evaluating many different nursing programs for diploma or bachelor degrees for other agencies all over the kingdom.

2. It shares with other departments the training of nurses from the ministry of health in Maternity and Education programs.

3. Most of the faculty members shares with staff members from the college of Applied medical science in researches supported by the research center in the college of nursing about maternity and child health care.
