It is my pleasure to introduce the Maternal & Child Health Care Department as one of four important departments of the College of Nursing since it was established (1425) after the department of nursing which was affiliated to the College of Applied Medical Science was converted into the College of Nursing.
Since women and children represent more than 60% of Saudi population, therefore the department tries to provide the students with the optimum advanced comprehensive and up to date Maternal and Child Nursing education, and help them be committed to the principles and values of our religion.
In addition, the department provides a huge opportunity to increase the educational level of the graduates by offering three masters specialty “Maternity Care, Midwifery, & Pediatric Nursing”.
And since the Saudi Arabian Nursing profession is grounded in a rich history, so to all of you nursing students, always make sure that you follow the ethics of your humane profession, and complete the path of those who have been there before you. The great men and women, followers of prophet Mohammed (PBUH), whose deeds in the nursing field have been a guiding light to all of those how follows.
