The Postgraduate Program at the Political Sciences Department

Introduction:

Based on the importance of postgraduate studies in developing human knowledge and in meeting our national and future requirements and because the postgraduate studies in any field of specialization is considered an important bridge for transferring knowledge and information to the society, and because the developments needs require the availability of scientific capabilities, there was a dire need to create the master’s program in political science to meet the needs of so many who are interested in political and international studies. However, the master’s program is not the ultimate goal of the department as it is working on creating another PHD program especially with the availability of academic and administrative capabilities at the department.

The master’s program aims at developing and deepening the student’s cognitive and analytical abilities of the political phenomenon, which actively contributes to the development of his practical and scientific skills in his career field.

The program also serves different governmental sections that require the availability of highly-qualified scientific calibers that contribute to the high levels of development and promotion that is occurring in the structure of political and administrative political establishments in the kingdom.
