Message of the Head of Department

Dear visitors,

I would like to welcome you all through this page which is considered a window a window for the department of political science at King Saud University through which we can keep in touch with the department that has been independently opened for more than three decades now. Through this page we can look at the information and skills presented by the department to its students, which definitely help them to acquire the cognitive abilities that allow them to deal properly with the world around them.

The information you will find on this website will definitely change the viewpoints most of you have about politics which is generally a simplified one and only related to the follow-up of the current political events. The student who is specialized in political sciences know that the real image of the science of politics is much deeper and more comprehensive as the political knowledge is diverse and includes the political thinking from the beginning of mankind till now. It also includes the political theories that are related to authority in general and the state administration in particular in addition to government mechanisms and establishments and the political behavior on the individual and group levels as well as the values that govern it. This political thinking also extends to include the international level and the aspects of peace, cooperation, negotiation, conflict and war included in it. What is hoped from this site, briefly, is to positively contribute to your knowledge of the science of politics and to the qualification obtained by the specialized student in an objective and rewarding manner.
