The College of Science was established in the province of Al-Kharj in accordance with the Royal approval number 10363/MB dated 22/8/1426H as based on the Higher Education Council's decision number 8/38/1426 during its thirty-eighth meeting dated 26/5/1426, stipulating the foundation of the College of Science in the province of Al-Kharj and affiliated to King Saud University. The College was honored by the visit of His Excellency former Rector Dr. Abdullah Al-Faysal on Saturday 23/8/1427H at the beginning of the second term of the academic year 1427-1428H. The College was moved from the old premises (the current College of Medical Sciences in Al-Kharj) to its new headquarters. At the beginning of the academic year 1428-1429H, Dr. Abdurrahman bin Ibrahim Al-Khudairi took over as interim Dean after the retirement of Dr. Hlalid bin Abdullah Al-Dakhil Allah, former Dean. At the beginning of the academic year 1428-1429H, the College was honored by the visit of His Excellency Professor Abdullah Al Othman, Rector of King Saud University

Vision : Establishing a comprehensive scientific base to fundamentals of sciences and their applications, and developing knowledge through scientific thinking and interaction with the community.

Objectives : The College of Science in Al-Kharj aims at materializing the following objectives: Making sure that students acquire the required fundamentals of scientific knowledge and thinking that would enable them to be employed after graduation Enabling students to gain the capability to apply knowledge and scientific analyses Training a qualified national cadre to satisfy the needs of the job market Preparing students for graduate studies and scientific research in the sciences and their various specializations

Building a specialized scientific system that would consolidate scientific, research, intellectual, and cultural activities, and benefiting from resources, strong points, and opportunities to keep up with development and knowledge economy programs through the following:

First, training a human cadre that would match the requirements of the job market and acclimatize with the latest developments in the fields of research, innovation, and development
Second, researching topics that are in line with global developments and national needs to sustain development via effective communication with the institutions of the private and public sectors. and making sure that bridges be built with the scientific community
Therd, preparing the suitable environment to digest the data of science and technology and their intellectual, cultural, and educational dimensions

Since its foundation, the College has hosted freshmen from all colleges affiliated to King saud University in Al-Kharj.
It has been hosting in the gymnasium the measurement and competencies test of secondary school students for the south of Riyadh .
It hosted the meeting of deans of the colleges of Al-Kharj a number of times, once in the presence of the His Excellency Rector of the University and the general supervisor of the branches colleges.
It hosted the test of job applicants for the colleges of Al-Kharj affiliated to King Saud University.
It won the first position in website construction of the branches colleges at the University.
His Excellency Rector of the University honors the employee Saud Al-Rashud, administrative assistant to the College Dean, with the University Excellence Prize.
