
The Dean of the College of Science in Al Kharj, Dr. Abdul Rahman bin Ibrahim Al Khudairi has issued a decree stipulating the formation of a sub-committee on human rights consisting of the following:
1- Dr. Farhan Hussain Al JI'AIDI (Deputy Dean for Administrative Affairs) Chairman).
2- Dr. Mustafa Tawfiq Ahmed . member
3- Abdullah bin Mohamed Al Askar . member
4- Mr. Yasser Suleiman Al-Hazzaa . secretary.
5- Student/ Abdul Aziz bin Mohamed Al Maslukh . member
6- Student/ Mohamed bin Farah Al Fuhad . member
The University aims by establishing this unit to achieve a harmonious university community dominated by the spirit of mutual cooperation between its staff, to adopt the principles of justice and equity as an essential pillar in building an ideal society inside the university. It also aims to support the rights of students on a basis conforming and not contradicting with the applied rules and regulations. The role played by the Unit does not mean to circumvent or substitute these rules and regulations, but the Unit plays its role under the regulations in force, without annulling some of their texts or blocking their implementation.
To achieve the above-mentioned objectives, the unit develops the culture of justice and equity among the students, provide them with the necessary counselling, and enlighten them of their university rights and how to obtain them by resorting to the legitimate and official channels inside the university under these rules and regulations applied in the university.
The sub-committee in the College is responsible for receiving the complaints and grievances submitted by students on any academic or non-academic problem experienced by them inside the College, even if the complaint is against one of the teaching staff members seconded for work in the College.
The complaint or grievance is presented by the student in accordance with the form prepared for this purpose at the location of each committee, provided that the form should be filled with the necessary accuracy and clarity that identify the subject of the complaint or the grievance and the supporting documents and evidences that prove his right. The student will be given a receipt showing that the complaint was received by the committee. The Committee has the right to request the accused to provide a written reply about the complaint within one week from the date of the official notification of his supervisor. The accused may not be obliged to appear before the Committee in person.
