The Vice-chancellor of King Saud University, Dr. Abdullah Al-Faisal has on Saturday 23/8/1427H, paid an inspection visit to the Faculty of Science, Al-Kharj, where studies started earlier this year. This college is an affiliate of King Saud University. The Vice chancellor was greeted upon arrival by the Dean of the Faculty of Science, Dr. Khalid Al Dakhilallah and the Dean of the Faculty of community Dr. Khalid Al Wahibi, and the police chief Brigadier General Mohammed bin Sa'ad bin Harees Al-Qahtani and the Director of boys education Bakheet bin Hilal Al Zahrani and the director of girls education, Dr. Mohammed bin Abdullah Al Tameem and faculty members.


The V.C was accompanied by the Deputy Vice chancellor of King Saud University, Dr. Abdel Aziz al-Ruwais and the Deputy Vice chancellor for Educational Affairs, Dr. Mohamed Al Hassan, and the supervisor of public relations at King Saud University, Dr. Saud Al Ziyab and the Vice chancellor's secretary, Ustaz Turki Al Talhah.


His Excellency the Vice Chancellor met during the visit with Musa'ed bin Abdurrahman Al Salim the Undersecretary of Kharj Governorate with the Dean of the Faculty of Science present at the meeting. They discussed the development of university education in Al-Kharj Governorate.


His Excellency then toured the lecture halls and met with students and urged them to put more efforts in their studies. It is worth noting that the sections of the Faculty of Science are:

Computer Science, Medical Laboratory, Physics, and Mathematics. The V.C then met with the Director of Boys Education at Al Kharj Bakheet Al Zahrani and the director of Girls education, Dr. Mohammed bin Abdullah Altamim and discussed with them ways of cooperation between the university and Al Kharj Education Branch and means of supporting Girls education in the area with colleges of the university to serve the girls of Al Kharj, especially that the number of female students who graduated from high schools are approximately 4000 students only 900 of them are admitted to Al Kharj college of education and the rest go to study in universities in Riyadh. Dr. Al Zahrani and Dr. Faisal Altmim called on the Vice chancellor to cooperate on this regard.


His Excellency then met with the Educational Board and toured on the land allocated for the establishment of the premises of university faculties Kharj.
