Praise be to Allah, Lord of the Worlds, prayer and peace be upon the most noble of the prophets and messengers: Department of Physics was established as one of the five departments of the faculty, and is devoted to achieve the vision and academic aspirations of King Saud University. The curriculum aims to develop the repertoire of knowledge possessed by students and turn them into a new experiences through multi-level curriculum, seeks to connect university with community through preparing a generation capable and able to apply theoretical knowledge to the various aspects of life, and focuses on the type of knowledge that meets the needs of society at all levels. Thus, department seeks to achieve the following: Provide students with the basic principles of physics, emphasize the importance of physics in everyday life and in various other scientific disciplines such as Chemistry, Mathematics, Science, and Astronomy, develop students' capacity on accurate observation, analysis, and conducting laboratory tests, and provide students with the skills necessary for scientific research. Finally, the department of Physics is looking forward at attracting qualified students to pursue their postgraduate studies, and those who can solve the various problems related to the community. .
