Definitions
Academic year: two semesters and one summer semester if existed.
Academic semester: a period of time not less than 15 weeks on which curriculums are studied, those weeks doesn't include registrations and final exams periods.
Summer term: a period of time not more than 8 weeks, those weeks doesn't include registrations and final exams periods. The periods of each course is doubled.
The education level: it is the indicant to the Academic stage according to the accredited academic plans.
Academic plan: is a group of courses which the sum of its units forms the graduation requirements that the student must pass to get the scientific degree in a significant field.
Academic Unit: is the weekly theoretical lecture which is not less than 50 minutes.
The academic plans are designed to form at least 8 semesters for the college years. Moreover, the academic system is dividing the year into two semesters. There might be a summer term which is half the main semester period.
Attendance and Dropping
Regular gull-time student must attend lectures and lessons and she might be forbidden from having the final exam according to this. If student attends was less than the percentage assigned by the college council. Attending lectures and scientific lessons for each course must not be less than 75% though out the semester. The student who was forbidden from attending the final exam because of absence is considered failed in that specific course she gets the grade (Denied)(DN)
The student can drop the semester, if she has provided an acceptable reason, and she is not considered as failure. Dropping must be within a period of time assigned by the rules of the college council so she gets the grade (Withdrawn) (W) and this semester is deducted form the necessity period to finish graduation requirements.
Deferring and ceasing your studies
The Student can defer studying for a reason that the college council can accept under a condition that the period of deferring doesn't exceed two sequence semesters or 3 inconsequence semesters maximum for the whole academic years. Deferring is not counted with the time needed to finish graduation requirements.
Expulsion
- The students is expelled if she gets 3 sequenced warning letters or more due to low GPA (e.g. 2.00 out of 5.00 ) or ( 1.00 out of 4.00)
- If she didn't finish the graduation requirements maximum during half the period designed to graduate.

The GPA is the total of dividing the granted point from all subjects studied in the university on the total of subjects' units.
Honor degree
1- The first honor degree is granted to the student who gets a GPA from 4.75 to 5.00 out of 5.00 or from 3.75 to 4.00 out of 4.00when graduating.
2- The second honor degree in granted to the student who gets a GPA from 4.25 to 4.75 out of 5.00 or from 3.25 to 3.75 out of 4.00 when graduating.
Terms of getting honor grade the first or the second
3- the student must not fail any course in this university or any other.
4- The student must finish the graduation requirement in an average time between minimum and the maximum period of college years.
5- The student must study at least 60% of graduation requirements in the university.

1- Bachelor degree (include 8 levels).
· Level one: studying non specialized subject (General Arabic, Islamic and English subjects)
· Levels 2 to 6: studying specialized subjects.
· Level 8: Field Training.
2- Master Degree.
3- PHD Degree.
