Description:
An advanced English Language course that is student-based in nature & intended to equip students with skills & processes to think, interact & do graduate work in English in an accurate manner. As learners of English as a foreign language, students tend to approach course materials with anxiety. Through intensive practice, engaging assignments & a warm, inspiring learning environment, students begin to enjoy the language and gain confidence in using it for communication in different environments.
Objectives:
* To develop student reading skills for fast & good analysis / comprehension of advanced topics- general or nutrition related.
* To enlarge student lexis or vocabulary for oral, comprehension & discourse use.
* To develop student ability to think in English rather than translating.
* To improve student ability to write well about a specific topic or freely
in English by following certain steps & using important sentence
structures & correct grammar and mechanics. Note taking is also
practiced in listening, reading & writing classes.
* To give students practice in listening to long lectures so that in future they can keep up with a long speedy lecture and get its main points.
* To familiarize students with different kinds of graphs, charts and tables.

Evaluation:
Two interms and a final exam for each skill: grammar, reading,writing
and listening. A total of 50% for interms and a total of 50% for all finals
